What We Do
Using the latest state of the art equipment and top quality parts brands, City Motor Supply completely remanufactures over 2800 short blocks and 1800 heads each month for customers from coast to coast in our environmentally safe facility.
Each of our products meets or exceeds the rigid quality control standards of Original Equipment Manufacturers to assure you top performance and durability.
Cores are burned in our three new Pollution Control cleaning ovens, the most efficient, hi-tech ovens available today. They are then blasted, tumbled, and Magnafluxed for flaws.
Each block is re-bored and cylinder walls are power honed to one one-thousandth of an inch for a precise fit and finish. They are carefully quality checked using our new, advanced Dial Bore indicator process, and finally, each block is thoroughly cleaned with soap and water.
All City Motor Supply heads are 3-angle cut by our Serdi 100 seat machines for better flow. Camshafts and crankshafts are straightened and reground. Connecting rods are checked for size and straightness and resized and straightened if necessary.
Our Research and Development Department uses the QT150 SIM Test Quality Control System. Various samplings of our remanufactured engines insures top quality.
